Understanding Classification Rationales in Trade Insight AI
Video Transcript
Hello from Trade Insight AI. Let's learn about classification rationales. After submitting a product description—in this case, our trusty wide brim raffia bucket hat, hand crocheted raffia—you receive a rationale.
Each engine can structure its classification rationale differently, but let's take a look at the rationale provided by our flagship engine, E4-1. At a high level, you see the rationale divided into initial chapters, where the engine evaluated three chapters that our hat may fall in.
It selected a final chapter where it describes why it made its final selection and why it didn't select other chapters.
It evaluates potential headings, and it makes a final selection of a heading, again justifying why it didn't select other headings.
Finally, it completes its classification, providing a classification rationale, useful citations, and assumptions—which are critical for your evaluation of its rationale—and a proposed classification.
You may notice that E4-1 wrote its rationale in much the same way a trade attorney would, and this is intentional.
TIA speaks the language trade professionals use every day.
